Allow me to introduce myself...

My name is Ruble. I was born in the U.S.S.R. but now I live exclusively on the Fresh Koast.
I'm a Dubstep, Brekas and Drum & Bass DJ in the D.C. Area. Music is my life.
Every week I will be dropping fresh beats and knowledge right here.

Lets not waste any more time and get your speakers bumpin'.

First up on the list is 17-year-old from Stockholm, Sweden. Some serious bass here, superginger's remix of some classic Biggie nearly shattered my ear drums. Check out his “Gimme The Loot” remix on soundcloud too.

superginger - Party & Bullshit

If you've never heard of Skrillex, chances are you've been living in a fallout bunker designed to protect from an attack from my comrades back east. Sonny recently dropped a remix EP for his dance floor smasher “Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites” with this track on it. Not typical of Skrillex's sound but typical of his quality.

Skrillex - Ruffneck Bass (Flex)

The Killabits have been on my radar for quite some time now. The Canadian dubstep duo's banger, “Just a Fool” (featured on my “Summertime Machine” mix) was recently released on Play Me Records, a young label that's been killing bass music charts on Beatport since their launch in 2009. Here's a Killabits re-work of a Steve Aoki remix of a monster Kid Cudi single. I know its a little confusing, but totally worth your time.

Kid Cudi - Pursuit of Happiness (Killabits Dubstep Re-work)

No mid-range bass here, strictly hip-hop. Cy-Hi Da Prince has been making big moves lately, the biggest of which is getting signed to Kanye's label (Good Music). The beat is infectious and Cy-Hi's flow is on point. Summertime jam for sure.

Cy-Hi Da Prince - Hero

Apparently, Moombahton was created, on accident, by one half of, DC's club powerhouse Nadastrom. Dave Nada nudged his pitch control all the way down while playing some Dutch House one day and voila! A dance craze is born. Although I'm not usually a huge fan of this new sensation, this track by Sabo makes me want to move.

House of Pain - Jump Around (Sabo Moombah Edit)

Figure has one of the most distinctive styles in bass music today. For those of you who don't know what Drumstep is, ask Figure, because he does it right. But Figure is no one-trick pony. Here's an Electro/Dubstep tune that really makes you think...

N.W.A. - Fuck Tha Police (Figure Bootleg)

...about how much you hate the boys in blue.
